Working towards a common goal

This is a major, long-term research programme with big ambitions – we can’t do it alone. Partnerships contribute to our mission to improve the lives of people living with mental health conditions, by helping us to fund, design and deliver GlobalMinds.

We’re proud to be working with NHS trusts and organisations in the private, charity and research sectors. These partners are bringing their specialist expertise of mental health, study design and drug discovery to help us make GlobalMinds the most effective resource it can be, to deliver the greatest impact for people affected by mental health conditions.

Funding partners

GlobalMinds has been made possible by the funding, design and delivery support of the Wellcome Trust and Johnson & Johnson.

Wellcome Trust is a leading global charity dedicated to their vision of ‘a healthier future for everyone’. Wellcome’s 2022-32 strategy identified three health challenges that must be addressed in order to achieve this. One of these was to drive new and better interventions for mental health conditions.

Johnson & Johnson is an industry partner who has been involved in mental health research since the 1950s. They have a particular interest in developing effective treatments for people with major depression or schizophrenia who continue to experience symptoms even with the best current treatments.
